Attorney Mark Gensburg

Mark is experienced in representing both debtors and creditors in commercial bankruptcy reorganizations as well as bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Mark also represents clients outside of bankruptcy in corporate workouts and distressed loan negotiations and litigation.

Mark represents large and small businesses in their Chapter 11 cases and is well versed in Chapter 11 Subchapter V reorganizations. Mark is equally experienced in representing secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcies. This experience includes representing secured creditors in bankruptcy cases in the Northern District of Georgia, the Southern District of New York, and the District of Delaware.

Prior to joining Jones & Walden, Mark worked in the bankruptcy and insolvency group of an AmLaw 100 firm in Atlanta. Before that, Mark clerked for the Honorable Paul M. Baisier of the Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Mark received his J.D. with Honors from Emory University School of Law in 2019. While a student at Emory Law, Mark served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal for its 35th Volume. Prior to law school, Mark graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Special Attainment in Commerce from Washington & Lee University in 2016, where he was also a member of the varsity Cross Country and Track & Field teams.
