Paul Owens | Jones & Walden
Paul Owens is a 1993 graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law, worked at the law school's Legal Aid and Defender Clinic, and was active in the Environmental Law Association. For several years thereafter, Paul represented low-income clients at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society in predatory lending, real estate, bankruptcy, landlord-tenant, and consumer finance litigation. Paul has also practiced with the Atlanta firm of Weissman, Nowack, Curry & Wilco, where he represented insurance companies in coverage disputes throughout the Southeast and conducted roundtable discussions on topical insurance law issues at national conferences.
Paul has extensive experience litigating cases at the trial and appellate level in state and federal courts in the areas of property and liability insurance coverage, real estate law, condominium and homeowner association law, and insurance defense. While zealously protecting his clients' interests in the courtroom, Paul also helps clients identify their larger business goals and implement those goals in the litigation context by resolving disputes in the most cost-effective manner.
